Presenting the past for our children's future

Art and History Museums

Art Museum

The Heritage Park Art Museum (HPAM) will be an art gallery with a permanent exhibit of Michigan’s art history as well as an area for rotating modern works.  The mission of the HPAM is to provide a gathering place where people of all ages and  backgrounds can be transformed by promoting the discovery, contemplation, and enjoyment of the art of our state through interaction with orginal Michigan works of art.

We intend to  offer challenging and significant exhibitions of modern, contemporary and historical Michigan art. We will inspire students of all ages with innovative educational programs.  The museum will serve as a dynamic resource for the understanding and enjoyment of the visual and language arts in their responsiveness to the human spirit.

History Museum

The history gallery could be an annex of the Michigan Historical Museum or home for the City of Lansing museum, which is currently housed in the basement of the main branch of the Capitol Area District Library.

The mission of the history museum is to use pieces of authentic Michigan culture and heritage to engage thoughtful contemplation about our own legacy for the future.
